KG2000 KG 2000Technical specifications:

Material
Polypropylene (PP), mineral reinforced.

Pipe construction
Massive wall pipe system with a uniform wall construction.

Connection
The connection of the pipe system is carried out by means of a sliding socket with a pre-fitted (by the plant), patented sealing ring.

Sealing
Seals in accordance with DIN 4060 / EN 681-1 and the R 30.5.2 guideline of the Gütegemeinschaft Kunstoffrohre e.V. (Quality Association for plastic pipes) in Bonn.

Colour

May green RAL 6017

Official authorization

KG 2000 pipes and fittings have been awarded general authorization by the construction supervising authorities of the Deutsche Institut für Bautechnik (DIBt – German Institute for Construction Technology). Authorization numbers: Z-42.1-282 and Z-42.1-283.

Production
KG 2000 pipes and fittings are produced in alignment with the DIN EN 1852-1 plastic piping systems for underground sewers and waste water pipes made of polypropylene (PP).
The general requirements on pipes and fittings for underground sewers and waste water pipes in accordance with DIN 19550 as well as the general efficiency requirements of DIN 8078 are the basis of production of the pipes and fittings.KG2000 KG 2000

Area of application
Underground sewers and waste water pipes. The pipes are resistant to normal waste water
(pH2 – pH12). In special cases the chemical resistance can be seen on the supplementary
sheet no. 1 of DIN 8078.

PP – the material of the future

High degree of abrasive resistance of PP
• hardwearing and safe in operation
• Smooth surfaces
• optimal hydraulics
• no incrustation
• deposits do not get caught
• self-cleaning, therefore low on maintenance
• Excellent resistance to impact and extremely tough
• robust under mechanical stress (e.g. high-pressure flushing)
• does not tend to form cracks or spread cracks
• High degree of chemical resistance pH2 – pH12 (sub-acid)
• resistant to bioorganic sulphuric acid corrosion
• stability in accordance with DIN 8078 supplementary sheet no. 1
• With respect to DIN EN 476, polypropylene has excellent qualities when under temperature stress.
Can also be used under extreme conditions.

Polypropylene is a thermoplastic material belonging to the group of polyolefin’s. These plastics have been used with great success in pipe production for several decades now.
Polypropylene is also used in the automobile industry and in fuel stations, since it meets stringent safety requirements. Guaranteed safety from a hygienic point of view, resistance to corrosion, good processing properties and several additional factors ensure a wide spectrum of applications.

It’s the connection that’s decisive
Of great significance in both private and communal property drainage are durable, leak-proof pipe connections for sewage, waste water and ground water.
A new, innovative and patented ring sealing is the result of a long development phase. The decisive improvements result from the special design of the ring.

Clamping lip
The clamping lip prevents dirt from being deposited between the pipe wall and the sealing.

Retaining lip
The retaining lip serves to press the clamping lip against the crimped edge on the front face of the corrugation, preventing the sealing ring from being pressed out or rolling.

Stripping lip

The stripping lip serves to keep possible dirt off the pipe.

Sealing lip
The sealing lip ensures that the pipe connection is permanently watertight. Leakage test in accordance with DIN EN 1610 with air and water at a pressure rate of between 0.05 bar and 0.5 bar and a vacuum.
Utilisation in drinking water protected zones 2 (systems check 2.4 bar MPA, Darmstadt).

Engaging forces
Engaging forces are greatly reduced by means of the special construction of the ring, thus ensuring much easier installation than with standard sewer systems as hitherto.
Of ecological value
to the environment
• Material polypropylene PP
• Ground water neutral
• Durable, leak-proof pipe connections
• 100% recyclable

Polypropylene – the method of production, gentle on resources, easy reprocessing and enhanced resistance to aggressive mediums – all these factors make it environmentally-friendly.
The new KG 2000 sealing system provides enhanced protection against the infiltration and exfiltration of waste water into the ground water.
